<br />
It's been AGES since my last post. Sorry... But since then a lot has changed. I won't bore with all the details, but basically I'm now a Full time student! I passed my First year with flying colours and am well into my 2nd Year. What am I studying you ask?<br />
PODIATRY!<br />
<br />
I started training back in 2003, but gave up shortly after starting due to falling pregnant. I gave up, raised my family and im back! And loving every minute of it!<br />
<br />
I also lost my Dad suddenly a couple of months ago. He was diagnosed with stage 4cancer and only lasted 2 months. The hardest thing I've ever had to experience so far in my life...watching someone you love rapidly dying in front of you, in so much pain, and there's nothing you can do to help.<br />
<br />
Moving on from this, my life has been extremely hectic, my head is all over the place, my body is constantly telling me to stop. It can't cope with anymore stress. So I've turned to Bullet Journalling to help.<br />
<br />
I've barely crafted the past couple of years. Odd things here and there but nothing worth writing about. So the few posts will probably be about my Bullet Journal journey.<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
This card measures 5"x5" and all the components were previously made from my 'experimenting'.<br />
The background is distress ink brushed through a hexagon stencil and cut slightly smaller than my card front.<br />
The flowers are Sheena Douglass Anemone die and stamps, I LOVE these stamps, utterly gorgeous!<br />
I stamped them onto white card, die cut them out and inked them using distress ink and a water brush. Once dry, I shaped them using my flower tool and mat and a small pearl embellishment was added for the centre. I then added stickles with my fingers over the tops of the petals and leaves to add a little sparkle.<br />
Originally the flowers and leaves were adhered to the card using silicone, but it just was not sticking, so I scraped it all off and used foam pads instead!<br />
The greeting was die cut from white Papermill card and gently inked with distress ink.<br />

My mum told me about these lovely stamps and dies that could be used to make wonderful flowers. I investigated and discovered they were the Sheena Douglass Anemone stamp and die sets.<br />
I managed to get hold of the set and came up with this!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBnma6KMqzC7CFE2vrfdgyZEz1yoNZcG8xYSfjmJtGnxYkEQC5U7oLpSMWamJ7vXwI-9J-DTvM09zJTquUbT4CFBYX0RqzhqWRt0K3Vv6-TyPrdgGFN9wS7gIJ4KEOksTSO_p_uiOrBLDc/s1600/IMG_0188.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBnma6KMqzC7CFE2vrfdgyZEz1yoNZcG8xYSfjmJtGnxYkEQC5U7oLpSMWamJ7vXwI-9J-DTvM09zJTquUbT4CFBYX0RqzhqWRt0K3Vv6-TyPrdgGFN9wS7gIJ4KEOksTSO_p_uiOrBLDc/s320/IMG_0188.PNG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
The background is made from black card and a fabric weave stencil, through which I added gilding wax. I used 3 colours, Gold, Bronze and Silver.<br />
<br />
The flowers were made by die cutting the anemone then embossing them back through the die. I rubbed gilding wax gently onto the flowers and leaves then buffed them to a shine. After this I shaped the petals and leaves using my flower shaping tools and mat and adhered them to the card front using silicone glue.<br />
The 3 'brads' to the right of the card I made by rubbing some bronze gilding wax onto a scrap bit of black card and punching out the dots with my Crop a dile. Using a ball tool, I shaped them into tiny domes and used a tiny dot of silicone glue to stick them on.Carolinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10802171104953768417noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5748221612597010263.post-89524548694775982642015-06-07T06:00:00.000+01:002015-06-15T14:50:17.828+01:00Memory Box Floating Butterflies Background card<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
This card took no time at all to make. It was SO simple!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXhZiljc4w-HgOrKDvD_Zk_DM7L_kcQo4yTFJ_kckukc5Dojqjp0G0F4R_8ENDw1Dbi_6UJsJhwSDpnI-SlGdp6agQXkNPVY3KdHUI3hfXstadz65vvvUw64ri_l0KRlBqk75EVXFIqiOR/s1600/IMG_0235.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXhZiljc4w-HgOrKDvD_Zk_DM7L_kcQo4yTFJ_kckukc5Dojqjp0G0F4R_8ENDw1Dbi_6UJsJhwSDpnI-SlGdp6agQXkNPVY3KdHUI3hfXstadz65vvvUw64ri_l0KRlBqk75EVXFIqiOR/s320/IMG_0235.PNG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I started with an A6 white card blank and cut background paper slightly smaller and corners rounded. The butterflies were cut out from Papermill Pink card using the Memory Box Floating Butteflies Background die and then cut to slightly smaller than the background paper. Corners were rounded too and it was adhered using double sided adhesive.<br />
The butterflies and edge of the card were 'faux stitched' using a white gel pen and gems added for the bodies.<br />
I stamped the greeting, which came from a free stamp set from a craft magazine (I dont know which one, I just have a pile of free stuff from magazines in a tub) and a teeny tiny gem was added for the dot of the 'i'.<br />
<br />
This card is being entered into the June Memory Box monthly challenge, over on <a href="http://davebrethauer.typepad.com/outsidethebox/2015/06/memory-box-challenge-butterflies.html" target="_blank">Outside The Box</a>, which happens to be butterflies!Carolinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10802171104953768417noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5748221612597010263.post-52674880556597079202015-06-05T06:00:00.000+01:002015-06-05T06:00:00.683+01:00Teenage boys Graffitti Card<br />
I LOVED making this card, I cannot take credit for the idea, it came from watching someone on Create and Craft, but it was so easy and a lot of fun to make.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHi6vLMVVhmQ2PoTlWPxn9qbYYx_GUNBtCUYHrhs-hHh0gUKvwVHljC2GQYD6H2Bod3viYDwWQBq9D6aLQn7SUozcwzI2h3x6aog2nD5N2ez7SM3w-64XxGEOhCa6TK6n1WkU93EMXaWN_/s1600/IMG_0247.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjHi6vLMVVhmQ2PoTlWPxn9qbYYx_GUNBtCUYHrhs-hHh0gUKvwVHljC2GQYD6H2Bod3viYDwWQBq9D6aLQn7SUozcwzI2h3x6aog2nD5N2ez7SM3w-64XxGEOhCa6TK6n1WkU93EMXaWN_/s320/IMG_0247.PNG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
The background was made by distress inking through a brick stencil, then the words stamped on using Woodware Graffiti stamp set and coloured with promarkers. Ink was splatted onto the background too.<br />
The tiny sneakers are also a Woodware stamp set, which I stamped onto shrink plastic and heated, THEN coloured using promarkers and white gel pen. The greeting on the tag is also part of the Woodware sneaker stamp set. The sneakers on the tag are dangling loose, the other pair are adhered using double sided tape.<br />
<br />
My 11 year old son said he would be happy to receive this card...he doesnt often say that about my work!!Carolinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10802171104953768417noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5748221612597010263.post-70927510044871734502015-06-03T06:00:00.000+01:002015-06-03T06:00:00.772+01:00Craft Room Conversion and Make Over!<div style="text-align: center;">
Sorry guys this post is quite photo heavy. But there really is no way to show my "project" without it being photo heavy! This was my own little project with very very minimal help from my other half. He only helped to saw a small bit of skirting board when my hand was blistered and I couldnt carry on. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So here it is...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
When we moved in to our new house November 2013, this room was an extension to the front of the house in the form of a porch. It was unfinished. The previous owners used it as a Utility room. We did too for a short period of time. I hated it. It was a bit of a dumping ground for tools, shoes and my husbands bike!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj3UYmPWchWrp4tX08dPlPFK7xG1qKJramwlNA8Q6aKmIkel5fQOkaQlrpMb9qC0fNq8A0VVHmXXzMmUr4gYBc2n7C6zrIC5qzwDWMRWIZVZKdln1jK7p8gRT44VaAbLd1MkgailDIo4oM/s1600/IMG_1140.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj3UYmPWchWrp4tX08dPlPFK7xG1qKJramwlNA8Q6aKmIkel5fQOkaQlrpMb9qC0fNq8A0VVHmXXzMmUr4gYBc2n7C6zrIC5qzwDWMRWIZVZKdln1jK7p8gRT44VaAbLd1MkgailDIo4oM/s1600/IMG_1140.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Look closely and you see no skirting boards, just a huge gap and no floor tiling up tp the main door! Also on the wall to the left was a HUGE hole to the outside world where a tumble dryer pipe was put. I filled it with expanding foam and plastered over it.</div>
<br />

Here is the pipe work for the washing machine to be connected up. A bit of an odd place to put a radiator too, but actually works well because it hasnt taken any useful wall space!</div>

And here it is! The Brimnes 3 door Wardrobe from Ikea. The mirror door can be placed in the middle or to the sides, I decided middle just because Im a bit OCD with things being symmetrical. I searched, measured and battered many wardrobes both on the internet and Ikea and this one was the right size, LOTS of customizable space inside and doesnt look out of place in the room. Some wardrobes just shouted "hey I'm a wardrobe" and looked awful.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
The blind on the front door is also from Ikea. Its the Schottis, which costs £2.50! Its perfect for UPVC fittings because its sticky and doesnt require any holes being made in the plastic. My husbands rule is absolutely NO drilling or screwing into UPVC doors and windows. Fair enough. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
The rug was a bargain from Tesco. I picked it up in the Sale for £2! Its a tightly woven fabric rug. Perfect for hoovering up any small bits and scraps that will inevitably find their way onto the floor.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And that is it for now! My craft room is now re-stocked and full to the brim. I just need to take some pics and do a Craft room tour. Watch this space!</div>

</div>
This card was made for Quick Cards Made Easy magazine using their bonus papers.<br />
I was sent the papers back in March, to make a Man themed card, ready to go into the June edition of the magazine.<br />
The papers were lovely, but I did struggle! I really struggle with mens cards anyway, so I tried to keep it simple. My original idea was using Origami shirts, but it just did not look good, no matter what I did. So I settled for simple, punched circles.<br />

I have been a very lucky girl for craft stash! My husband and boys gave me lots of craft goodies for my Birthday. Its just a shame I have to go to work later so wont get time to play with them until tonight!<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
I was given, Chameleon pens, Pebeo Prisme fantasy paints, Memory box Stitched Rectangle layers dies (which are like gold dust at the moment! I found some online, which had literally come into stock, immediately emailed my husband and by the time he had received my email 2 minutes later, (he was sat on his computer opposite me) they had sold out!), I also had some Imagination crafts layering stamps, Botanical rose stencil by Craft Emotions, some more ink blending foam and finally, A Spellbinders Sapphire Die cutting machine! I LOVE it already! Its brand brand new, only released on 14th May, and are now out of stock, so I'm glad to be one of the first to own one! <br />
I made an unboxing video of it on Youtube, my first video in which I actually speak..Eek..I hate the sound of my voice! You can watch my video<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzSSHzvE_s8" target="_blank"> here</a>.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
This card was made in exactly the same way as my Mums card in the previous post, using a silver peel off and adhering tiny gems to it before sticking onto the front of the card.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The front panels were layered up using very thin foam tape before being stuck onto the front of the card to hide the ribbon ends.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This card was made for my Mums Birthday. I wasnt 100% happy with it, although the photo does not do it any justice. I really was more pretty in real life.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A very basic quick card, which involved die cutting squares of various sizes and layering them up with very thin foam tape. Ribbon was wrapped around the front and fixed to the front so the ends are hidden under the panel. The Mum was actually a peel off to which I glued lots of clear flat backed gems.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
I made these Fairy Bag Charms as Teacher Gifts when my 3 boys finished the year. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Between 3 of them, I needed to make 12 gifts. Each one was coloured specially for each teachers favourite colour.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Unfortunately I forgot to photo the actual fairy before I baged and tied them up.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The sentiment I made myself in Inkscpape and printed onto card, the cellophane bags are cakepop bags I had kicking around and the ribbon keeps the bag clip part held out of the way so the charm hangs nicely over the poem.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Some of the Teachers that received these have now become close collegues and friends and I know they are still going strong, almost 2 years later!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I remember sitting in a class last year and seeing a lovely fairy charm hanging off a USB pen stick and thinking, "THAT is lovely! I must make one". I was spotted looking and that was when the Teacher reminded me that I had made it! Whoops! </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
This was a really simple stamped card I made. I cant remember who it was for now, but the tree stamp was from a set by Papermania. It was stamped with Versafine black ink and a few heart shaped gems glued on.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The sentiment stamp was also from a set of sentiments, off the top of my head, I think it was by Papermania. Again stamped using Versafine Black.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A very very simple, quick and effective card.</div>

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This card was made for my Mums 60th birthday. Its an A5 card, which is unususal for me, I dont "do" big cards.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The base card is a box card, I picked up a pack of 20 of them in a Hobbycraft Sale for a about £1 a long time ago and thyeve just been gathering dust!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The flowers in the aperture I handmade using florist ribbon. The 60 embellishment was cut using the Making Memories slice and layered on foam pads to add depth. I cannot remember where the flourish stamp came from, its a small stamp that I stamped, then inked only a part of it, lined it tp and stamped again to make a bigger flourish.</div>

I have SO many cards and projects to share, I really need to get up to date.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After the manic couple of years, my aim is to use up lots of my craft stash. I have more than enough to last a lifetime and beyond!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
While I've been away from my blog, I havnt totally been away from crafting. I havnt been crafting as mush as I used to, mainly just making things as the need arises, but I still have ALOT of items to share.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have Teacher gifts, lots of cards and my New craft room!! I will tidy it up a bit, take some photos (before and after I converted it) and maybe do a youtube video tour. Watch this space!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am also working on other projects, more design based, and dabble in Zentangle when I cant be bothered to do anything.</div>

Wow how time flies, and how life changes!<br />
Since my last post, life has changed quite a bit for me! First off, I lost all my crafting mojo. I couldn't bear to look at my craft stuff, it caused me to feel stressed. You wouldn't believe how many times I nearly. Threw every thing into the bin. But something inside me stopped me being so rash and knew I'd regret it later. So I just left it and ignored it.<br />
We put our house up for sale, it took AGES to sell, changed agents etc had lots of viewing but we thought we'd go on holiday, our first ever family holiday, and Sod's law... We had a phone call on the first day that we'd sold our house. So even the holiday was overshadowed with consent "oh my god, where are we going to move to? There's no houses for us out there!" So a week later, I spent a whole day viewing about 10 houses and none felt right. The last one on the list was literally a stones throw from our house but viewed it anyway just for sake of it and OMG as soon as I stepped through the door, I was in love, it felt SO right, I could see the boys playing outside and friends sitting around the large dining table. Fast forward a VERY stressful few months, and we finally got to move in in November.<br />
<br />
Back track back to July, I had been volunteering at my local primary primary, the head teacher approached me and offered me a full time post as a one to one teaching assistant with an Autistic boy in mainstream. It felt a dream come true, I jumped at the offer.<br />
August came and that's when the illness hit me.<br />
I had been running on fumes for far to long, years in fact. My weight declined, I was barely 6 stone, I couldn't eat, then I had a full blown panic attack when playing cards with my boys. I had no idea what was happening, thought I was dying, so called for an ambulance. They took me in to be checked over, fast forward a few weeks, it was discovered I had a premature ventricular ectopic heart beat. Nothing serious, something I just have to live with. But I still wasn't eating. Saw a dietician in December, who couldn't help, so was referred to a stress management therapist. That was in February 2014. Wow, that is certainly an eye opener. He instantly diagnosed me with Chronic hyperventilation syndrome, (I over breath), it's caused by stress. Which in turn causes the ectopic heart beats and anxiety I'd been feeling along with it all.<br />
<br />
So basically, my life of stress and worry has led me to ill health. It was caught in time, and to be honest I don't think I was that far from death, especially adding the fact I wasn't eating and could barely get off the floor some days. But now, I am weighing just under 8 stone, and eating like a horse and don't eat chocolate any more! I find it gives me palpitations.<br />
I owe SO much to my therapist who has helped with breathing exercises to overcome the chronic over breathing and stress reduction, and helped change my thinking to live in the present, not the past. Not the future. To stop worrying about the small things.<br />
<br />
BUT the best part is.... I have my mojo back!! And I have a craft room!! Which was a half finished porch when we bought the house, now it's kitted out with new paint, new skirting boards and. A big big cupboard, all done with my own fair hands.<br />
I'm still in the process of unpacking my zillions of boxes and sorting my craft stuff but I will be doing a blog post soon showing my craft room makeover.<br />
<br />
I'm still recovering from the chronic hyperventilation, it's very much like having chronic fatigue syndrome, in fact, as far as I'm aware, I think the two are actually linked! Talking really takes it out of me, I'm currently working on breathing properly when I talk. As does posture. If I'm hunched over I feel dizzy, wobbly and faint.<br />
<br />
Moral of the story? Don't stress about little things, breath calmly and from the diaphragm, think about your posture, don't go one holiday and sell your house, don't also have 6 weeks off with 3 hyper boys and then go to work full time with a stressful job, then move house just before Christmas and freeze to death over winter because we couldn't get a chimney sweep to come until March!<br />
<br />
So many new things to look forward to over the next couple of months, I can't wait.<br />

<br />
Flowers are my all time favourite item. I love making them out of all sorts of things from Fabric, paper, plastic, jewellery...anything.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhie8oTXCaBD04519vOlzRl5T5KZJRR34nCMEfT-5mhBeG8ifDLGCsgMrGLkZlFDUG0e7a2pTjxj1mXIbMpJBmER9GFLgmCaLyF_6TKnilij5FBpg-cIMEadi0ESSoDXUPsvfsKPfZn_5wq/s1600/photo%252899%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhie8oTXCaBD04519vOlzRl5T5KZJRR34nCMEfT-5mhBeG8ifDLGCsgMrGLkZlFDUG0e7a2pTjxj1mXIbMpJBmER9GFLgmCaLyF_6TKnilij5FBpg-cIMEadi0ESSoDXUPsvfsKPfZn_5wq/s320/photo%252899%2529.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
For this card I made the flowers using a Marianne Craftables Ovel die that comes with 3 concentric flower dies.<br />
After cutting the flowers, I inked the edges slightly and made small cuts towards the centres so that I could shape and bend the petals. On the centre flower I inserted some teent tiny cake stamens which I coloured using the same ink pad as the flower edges.<br />
<br />
The rectangle base was cut using Spellbinders Nestibilities NEW Labels 8 and the flourish was cut using Cheery Lynn Fanciful flourish. The finished card is only slightly larger than A7 and looks a bit lost in a standard A6 envelope.<br />
It was cut from Black mirri card and mounted onto a die cut card base.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCBLVwdohSz3v_xrS-taLV9V_O1U6KAYjNmm8Sr03GOBxYCrDJ5beKJ26Bxm4On0SJYNAdgeatbSwliLNCp3Sa6PiWZyv4YtuyrdlFQeMkbtikm9gFQ2Dk_kfU9sYMhW5AZRdbLM4ykfjr/s1600/photo(98).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCBLVwdohSz3v_xrS-taLV9V_O1U6KAYjNmm8Sr03GOBxYCrDJ5beKJ26Bxm4On0SJYNAdgeatbSwliLNCp3Sa6PiWZyv4YtuyrdlFQeMkbtikm9gFQ2Dk_kfU9sYMhW5AZRdbLM4ykfjr/s320/photo(98).JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
For the card base, I folded white card and cut it with the die, making sure the folded edge was just inside the cutting area. Adding a ribbon bow and giant googly eye finished it off.<br />
<br />If you havnt already worked out which die I used, it was a Sizzix Bigz die, Scotty Dog with bone. I have lots of ideas for this die, so hopefully there will be more coming along soon!Carolinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10802171104953768417noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5748221612597010263.post-40886544887489698012013-01-23T10:10:00.000+00:002013-01-24T20:42:23.557+00:00Frog Card, Army of Frogs<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
This card is A6 in size and made as a Thank you card for some lovely generous people. Unfortunately due to the snow we currently have, I cant post it yet! But thes tory goes like this:<br />
<br />
I love playing board games. I love playing the standard monopoly style games, but also Eurostyle games like Pandemic, Ticket to ride etc.. Recently I joined a local board gaming group so started buying a few games. My most recent one is <a href="http://www.genfourtwo.com/army-of-frogs" target="_blank">Army of Frogs</a> by Gen42 Games. (There is also an app for the same game on iphone/ipad and I LOVE IT!)<br />
Back to the story. I bought the game, and its only suitable for up to 4 players. As we are a fmaily of 5, one of us usually has to sit out. I contacted Gen42 and asked if they sell extra sets of frogs. I thought i could get an extra set and maybe alter it somehow with promarkers or nail polish to make them different. Gen42 came back to say unfortunately they dont sell sets of frogs, but they have an old prototype set laying around that im more than welcome to have! YAY. They wouldnt accept anyhing for the frogs, which arrived in no time at all, so I thought Id send them a lovley Froggy thank you card to show my appreciation and a post on here linking to them to show how fab their games are! (I also have Hive another great addictive game they make).<br />
<br />
The card was made using Swiss dots embossing folder and Walnut stain distress ink. The Frog is a Medium Sizzlits die which I distressed with green inks and the Reed I hand cut out of textured brown card.<br />
The Little circle topper was handmade by myself and lightly inked with walnut stain to take off the starkness of the white.<br />
<br />
<br />
Hope this snow goes soon, I want to get back to normal and post my card off! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Having 3 boys all at the same school, means they have quite a few
teachers and TA's between them! Some even teach all 3 boys at some
points in the same week! Thus, it meant at Christmas, I had quite a few
gifts to make. Usually I make Snowmake soup, and they're always very
well recived, but this year I wanted to do something totally different.I saw one of the teachers wearing a Beaded Lanyard quite a few months ago and instantly knew what I was going to do this Christmas. My biggest task was trying to source good quality beads in vast quantities at good prices. As luck would have it, I came across some gorgeous beads that were new in at my local bead store <a href="http://www.crystals-and-ice.co.uk/" target="_blank">Crystals and ice</a> and so I practically cleared their shelf of them! Well I did have 10 lanyards to make!<br />
<br />
I also raided my stash for various beads which also come from Crystals and Ice and set to work!<br />
The boys helped as best as they could, but they lost all will to live after threading a few beads onto the tigertail.<br />

They said they had seen another teacher wearing a beaded lanyard and wondered where she had got it from. Phew! Sigh of relief!<br />

I made this matching jewellery set for a good friend for Christmas. She is the only other person I know who loves Jewellery as much as I do so I love making bits for her.<br />
Its all made up with a mixture of pearls, silver plated beads and glass crystals randomly threaded onto 3 strands of tigertail.<br />
The pillow box I also made myself using the Tim Holtz pillow box die and black shiny card, embossed with swiss dots embossing folder.Carolinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10802171104953768417noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5748221612597010263.post-20396914304628487122013-01-09T02:49:00.000+00:002013-01-09T02:49:00.319+00:00Truck shaped Craft Robo card<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Another card I created in Silhouette studio and cut on my Craft Robo. This was for a friends litle boys 1st birthday.<br />
I designed the "lorry" part using circles and squares and using the offset tool, I made the card base. Its actually cut in a matt silver card. All the card used here is Papermill card.<br />
Silver liquid pearls were added to make details for hadles and wheel nuts.Carolinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10802171104953768417noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5748221612597010263.post-40721109855786368082013-01-08T01:45:00.000+00:002013-01-24T20:43:13.537+00:00Princess Dress Card using Craft Robo<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Here is another card I made using my Craft Robo and Silhouette Studio software. Its based on a picture I came across on the internet which used Cricut cut files.<br />
I made the main dress part then used the offset tool to make the card base. The "frill" patterns on the dress were made by welding circles together and using the freehand tool for the loops.<br />
A few dots of Liquid pearls and a heart pearl which I coloured with the same liquid pearls finished the card.Carolinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10802171104953768417noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5748221612597010263.post-79746688317461529032013-01-05T22:37:00.002+00:002013-01-05T22:37:55.426+00:00Hot air balloon card using my Craft Robo<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I really enjoyed making this card. It turned out exactly how I wanted it to, which is something that does not happen very often to me!<br />
The recipient was my Step-Dad for his birthday and I started off by making the hotair balloon on my Craft Robo. It did involve some hair pulling when I couldnt get bits to weld, but I eventually figured it out and now its something I will never forget. The clouds were also designed and cut using my craft robo. They are simply lots of different sized circles welded together!<br />
I love making digi stamped greetings in inkscape too. I make a full A4 sheet at a time and punch them all out with a 1 and 3/4" circle punch and stick them on using foam pads.<br />

Apart from on my trip to the postoffice to post all my chrsitmas cards (pics will be added over the next few days), I overheard a lady telling the Postoffice staff that today is also her daughters 12th Birthday! How amazing is that?<br />

<br />Last Week I went along on a School trip (I volunteer at the school) to a local Farm where the children got to meet Santa. Even I got a sit on his knee! Although it was remarked how alike this guy was to Jim Royale from the Royale Family! And yes, his beard was real too!Carolinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10802171104953768417noreply@blogger.com0
