Mums Birthday card

This year I was a bit stumped on what to make for my Mums birthday card. She has begun card making too so I wanted something simple, but also fab looking so she could easily copy the design. This is what I came up with, using the Marianne D Anja corner die. I absolutly LOVE this die!

The card measures 5"x5" and the paper was from a free stack from a magazine (I dont know what its called, it was quite an old pack! (3-4yrs old!!) And my Making Memories slice was used to cut "MUM" while gold Liquid Pearls were dotted along the edge.

Unfinished Christmas card?

This card an unfinished piece.

The background paper was from a stack of grunge style papers I found in my craft bag, I dont know who made them.
I matted it onto red cardstock and added some ribbon and green velvet ric rac.

It needs "something" else added to it, im still working on it.

Guest Designer!

Making Memories contacted me and asked if I would make a project using my Slice cutter. I wasn't going to say No was I! I had come up with this idea a few days before I was contacted, I used to make much much smaller versions of this card at 1 3/4" years ago, the nI found one whilst sorting and instantly knew I could make them again using my Slice. And here it is on the Making Memories Blog.

This is why I've been quiet for a while, Ive been busy making this project!

Teacher Gift

Sorry I havnt posted much recently. I've been busy with my Boys making gifts for their Teachers:

They look amazing, the photo really does not show the lovely colours.
We made them based on this idea from Making Mermories.

Every Flower on each glass is different and amazingly I had a pack of Making Memories Slice vinyl in my stash that I bought in TKMaxx in sale for £2 some time ago! The flowers and flourish stems were all cut from the Basic Shapes 2 design card.
We made 7 gifts in total, but had to give one early before I had chance to photograph them all together.

Once finished, we sealed them in A5 size card cello bags and scrunched it a little and the gifts looked posh and expensive!  (sorry, just realised I didnt photograph them in their bags! I did intend to)
For the name tags, we used rub-ons which I won recently, and all 3 of my eldest sons teachers asked him how he did the writing! (He's currently learning how to write joined up)

I will certainly make these again, Not only are they fab teacher gifts, they are also great for Summer Fetes, Craft fairs, Christmas and Birthday gifts!

Simple Butterfly Card

I used a Dovecraft Kate Knight paper stack for the mat, added gems to the flowers and a thin ribbon.
The butterfly embellishment is from a pack of 12 from The Works for 99p.

This card was actually made from an upcycled Christmas card! The base card was left over from christmas, but was a good quality card and envelope and felt such a waste to put into the recycling bin.

Simple Flower Card

Brown is not a colour I work with out of choice. (Except for Distress ink!), but this card came easily.
The papers are from a Dovecraft paper stack, which I embellished with Bronze gems from Hobbycraft and edged with a Martha Stewart edge punch and for some reason, I had metres and metres (about 40!) of brown ribbon that worked well with this colour scheme.

Quick Mothers Day Card

This Mothers Day card I made for my Mother-in-law. I realy like it even though it was quite simple. It can easily be used for Birthday, or any occasion.
The paper was from a Free stack that came with a Card making magazine a year or so ago, and the border punch used is a Fiskars one.
