New Home Card
This card is for my Mother-in-law who has just moved house.
The background is made using a "That Special Touch" Mask: Butterflies over which I applied Tim Holtz Tattered Rose distress ink. I then drew around the mask as a stencil using a pale purple pen. Silver pen was added to the butterflies. Walnut stain was applied to the edges.
Flowers are made using Marianne Designs Creatables Flower fantasy and Flora 1 dies, instructions can be found Here.
I punched an oval in white card and distressed it with the Tattered Rose Distress ink and applied it over lace.

Chandelier Stamps
I have new stash!
I've been wanting some Chandelier stamps for a while but couldnt find ones that were "just right" until I came across these in Hobbycraft today!

Football Easel Card
I made this card for my Sons 7th Birthday. He has just become a fan of football. I found it quite difficult to come up with an idea for a football card. Then I found a pack of Football embellishments in my stash that I picked up in the Hobbycraft sale over Christmas.
I printed off a free clipart football, I enlarged it to he size of a CD, therefore using a CD as a template.
The name letters are a Making Memories brick pattern set that I coloured with permenant marker.

Cuttlebug Embossed Brother Birthday Card
This card was made using the Cuttlebug Clockworks embossing folder on rust coloured card. I then used silver and bronze acrylic paint and a dry sponge applicator to add a distressed look.
The label was cut from Brown Kraft-like card from the inside of wrapping paper roll using Nestabilities labels #4. Silver acrylic was applied using a dry sponge applicator.
Tim Holtz alterations Chip Block die was used for the wording, again cut from the Kraft-like card and distessed with the acrylic paint.

Simple Butterfly Card
I used a Dovecraft Kate Knight paper stack for the mat, added gems to the flowers and a thin ribbon.
The butterfly embellishment is from a pack of 12 from The Works for 99p.
This card was actually made from an upcycled Christmas card! The base card was left over from christmas, but was a good quality card and envelope and felt such a waste to put into the recycling bin.

Video Tutorial. Prima Inspired Paper Flowers Using Marianne D Creatables Flower Fantasy and Flora 1
Flowers are my favourite embellishment. I love trying to find new ways to make expensive ones I find in shops so came up with some lovely flowers using dies I already had. I used Marianne Designs Flower Fantasy and Flora #1 dies to make my Flowers.
I apologise for the quality, I recorded it in high quality on my iphone, but for some reason, You tube just would not upload it. After 2 hours trying, it kept failing so I ended up saving it in a lower quality format.

Quick Girly Birthday Card
Easter Theme Stickers were used to embellish this card. I have tonnes of Paperchase stickers (my three boys love them and get them as rewards, we must have about 20 packs at least of various stickers).
The idea for this card came from my 6 year old, and I think it works well!
A quick simple card.

Simple Flower Card
Brown is not a colour I work with out of choice. (Except for Distress ink!), but this card came easily.
The papers are from a Dovecraft paper stack, which I embellished with Bronze gems from Hobbycraft and edged with a Martha Stewart edge punch and for some reason, I had metres and metres (about 40!) of brown ribbon that worked well with this colour scheme.

Butterfly and Gem Card
This card is SO pretty. The camera really does not portray how pretty this card is in the flesh. The colours all work together well and if I was to receive this card, I would not be unhappy.
The papers are from a Dovecraft stack, which was edged using a Fiskars edge punch and the flowers are embellished with pearl circles I picked up in Hobbycraft. Kanban word stamps were used for the greeting.

Butterfly Easel Card
The idea for this card came from a Card Making Demo day I attended on 2nd April, hosted by Simply Craft.
Its basically an A6 card Easel folded, with the butterfly wires attached through the top fold.
The Butterflies came from a pack from Poundland and the Oval topper is a Nestabilites Oval die cut.

A bit of a Show and Tell
I have too much stash and really need to whittle it down and use it up! So I've done a "show and tell" to try to embarrass myself into getting it sorted/get rid.
Most of my Crafting storage space is in our bedroom, so I want to try to keep it as "hidden" as I can. Not an easy job!
This is my main cupboard, the doors do actually fully close This houses all my Embellishments, stickers, magazines, pens, fabric flowers, glues, huge box of ribbons, buttons, Distress inks, glue gun, tools, peel offs, templates, etc etc
This lot lives next to the cupboard. Three Stack n store boxes (22litres boxes) The bottom one has all card, the middle one has all papers and the top one has odds and ends like a tub of bits ive made, heat gun, craft mat, paintbrushes, paint. And on top of that is my "in progress" stuff.
Between the cupboard and boxes are my zip folders that house all my Stamps and two magazine boxes that have plain white card A4 card stock and on top of all that is my Lap craft tray.
The tubs in front are empty, ready for filling and putting into the cupboard, and my Dremel is there too, it needs a home. I was given it last week for Mothers Day.
This is the opposite corner of the Bedroom, the black and white boxes house my Envelopes and Card Blanks. They're not very big, A4 only just fits in the base.
Next to them is a Stack n store box that holds all my Sizzix dies, embossing folders, Nesties and my Big Shot. (There is actually space under the big Shot, the Big Shot is resting on the edge)
Behind the stack box is a carry folder containing some 12X12 papers/cards and kits.
This is a Stack n Store box waiting to be sorted. Its not all craft stuff in there! (Thankfully) Its kind of a Filing tray. Most of this stuff under the top layer, is destined for the Bin and local school.
Onto the smallest room. I have 2 22 litre boxes with stuff in, Vinyl, sticky tapes, glue, origami papers, books to cut up, then on the shelf below is 2 smaller boxes that house Felt, Foam and all my Jewellery making stuff, polymer clay, paper making kit.
(the blue box on the far left of the pic, is not mine!! (YAY) it belongs to the Boys and holds all their Warhammer stuff)
Next to the Boys Warhammer box, is my box of Punches. The box is about 20litre and a complete mess! I need to sort my punches, but I love punches! On top of the punches is balanced some ice cream tubs of beads and keyrings and bits for School craft fairs.
I am really hoping I can post again shortly with less stuff and more tidy crafting stuff!

Birthday Card using my Free Flourish Template
This card is one of may favourites.
The backing paper I distressed by crumpling the paper then smoothing it back out then used my distress tool around the edges.
The flowers started off a pale pink colour, I coloured them with permenant markers and added brads.
I cut the tag using oval nestabilities, distressed with Tim Holtz ink and edges distressed with the distress tool and coloured peel offs with a permenant fine liner so it wasnt perfect and looks distressed.
The flourish were made using my Free flourish template, which can be found HERE, and Stickles.

Free Make your own Rhinestone Jewel Template
I love Rhinestone Flourishes but struggle to get them looking right. So I came up with the idea of making a template. Then I googled and soon realised it was not a unique idea! Ah well. still, it was easier, quicker and much much cheaper to make my own template in Inkscape.
You can download my Free Flourish template HERE. (pdf)
The template measures 4" wide X 7.5" high
Feel free to use it but please do not copy it in any way, sell it or alter it to sell without my permission first. You may link to it, but please state that you found it here.
How I used the template was to print it onto cardstock, then using my Crop-a-dile on the 1/8th hole setting, punched all the holes. you can use it like this and either place rhinestones into the holes then remove the template, or draw dots then remove the template and add rhinestones to the dots.
You can also use the template as a guide to place Stickles, Liquid pearls etc..
Enjoy!

Retro Computer Geek Birthday Card
My Husband is a computer programmer and loves the Retro green font on black background. I really struggle to make him cards personal to him, even after18years togther!
The font I cut using Tim Holtz Chip Block die and simply glued it onto a black mat and trimmed some curved strips to add to the side. I tried straight but it didnt quite look right.
Not my best card to be honest, it didnt quite come out how I had visioned it, but as time is running out before his birthday, I needed to get a move on.
