Tim Holtz Inspired Flowers

I like Tim Holtz style, but find his items ridiculously expensive so I've found some ways to improvise.
I have made some gorgeous 3D flowers just like Tim's only I used a Sizzix Layers #5 Originals die and I cut white cardstock that was 160gsm then ran it through my Bigshot using an embossing folder (I used one of the new Papermania embossing folders in Victorian Fleur pattern)

Then I used Cut n Dry foam to apply Fired Brick Distress ink to BOTH sides of the die cut flower.
I used the same piece of cun n dry to apply some metallic pink ink that I picked up from Hobbycraft in sale, to the edge and to highlight a few bits of the raised embossing.

These are my finished flowers.

I made some Leaves using an embossing leaf punch and distressed them using Tim holtz Shabby shutters Distress ink, followed by Walnut Stain ink and followed by Whispers Dark Green ink.

 The finished flowers and leaves.
