Making Memories Slice Dilly Dally Design Card

Im really excited. I managed to get hold of a Making Memories Slice Design card that I've been longng after since getting my Slice back in May.

Well, Yesterday a package dropped throuhg my letterbox and it was my Dilly Dally Design card, all the way from the US.
So basically I've spent any spare time cutting, creating and playing with my new card, and I LOVE it! I dont anythng to show at the moment becasue the best thing I created, which was a flower with leaves and gems, we nabbed by my 7 year old to put on a Birthday card for his Aunt all the way over the sea in New Zealand. So I cant even put his card up here to show you otherwise it'll spoil the suprise for her.

I'll get making some more nice things (some things didnt come out very well so went into the recycling bin)

Some bits through my Letterbox

A couple of weeks ago I must have been on a lucky streak and won a couple of prizes and this is what came through my letterbox:

First up was a Tag Challenge hosted by Helen over at A Crafty Kind of Truffle, in which I won the June Challenge and the fab prizes that fell through my letterbox were:

Secondly I was lucky and Won on the Banana Frog Blog Hop! I was lucky enough to choose any stamp set I like, and after much deliberation I went for Butterflies and Swirls.

Teacher Gift

Sorry I havnt posted much recently. I've been busy with my Boys making gifts for their Teachers:

They look amazing, the photo really does not show the lovely colours.
We made them based on this idea from Making Mermories.

Every Flower on each glass is different and amazingly I had a pack of Making Memories Slice vinyl in my stash that I bought in TKMaxx in sale for £2 some time ago! The flowers and flourish stems were all cut from the Basic Shapes 2 design card.
We made 7 gifts in total, but had to give one early before I had chance to photograph them all together.

Once finished, we sealed them in A5 size card cello bags and scrunched it a little and the gifts looked posh and expensive!  (sorry, just realised I didnt photograph them in their bags! I did intend to)
For the name tags, we used rub-ons which I won recently, and all 3 of my eldest sons teachers asked him how he did the writing! (He's currently learning how to write joined up)

I will certainly make these again, Not only are they fab teacher gifts, they are also great for Summer Fetes, Craft fairs, Christmas and Birthday gifts!

Swirly Birthday card

This card I made for a Friends Birthday.
I've used a plain black card base, and gold ink to stamp the swirls and sentiment.
The stamps used are all Kanban stamps, to which I have then added some gold diamonte and flower.

Butterfly Rub-On Birthday Card

I dont usually "do" coloured card bases, especially not black, but I picked up a pack of square cards in sale and now I'm hooked!
This card was made using some rub-ons that came in a set wiht lots of other bits in TK Maxx. I have no idea who made them, but they're so vivid!
The Sentiment I made myself using a book of American Crafts Rub-ons I've had lurking for a few years.

Quick Easel card

This is a card made for my Charity box.
I came across a tub of Rosettes I had a made when having a clearout, and instantly this idea popped into my head.
To make the card, I used a normal A6 card blank, and creased and folded the front in half.
The Best Wishes greeting I made myself in Inkscape, and I love them!

Best Wishes Card

This card was made a while ago, I'd packed it away in my box of cards and forgotten about it and found it when I was having a sort through!
I cant remember the paper I used, but I do recognise it as a stack that came free with a card making magazine. The spotty ribbon is upcycled from Pyjamas, the greeting is a pack of docrafts ones, 6 for 25p, which I distressed with my distress tool.
The flower is made using Marianne D Creatables flower dies, as in my video here.

More coming soon!

More posts coming soon! I have the photos on my Camera, just need longer than 5 minutes to get posts written!

Been quite hectic here with School plays, days off, inset days and my youngest's 3rd Birthday.

Thought I would add this photo too, its a Cave, in which you can get married! After a fair walk, and a "getting wet" under a waterfall, you finally reach the end, where the Alter can be found, for the ceremony.
This is actaul cave, it's HUGE inside, and you can see the waterfalls you have to walk under/behind to reach the wedding area.

It can be found at Dan-yr-gof show caves in South Wales. Not my choice of wedding venue im afraid! But a great day out for the whole family visiting the caves and dinosaurs.
